I'm not technically savy at all. My Secunia scan showed several problems with Adobe AIR, Flash Player and active control. What does this mean and do I need any Adobe programs. I think some of my other programs have asked that I have Flash Player. Please help me understand.
I just installed the version 1 of PSI. Thanks.

Adobe recently released a new version of Adobe Air fixing one or more vulnerabilities in the program.

Updating to the latest version of Adobe Air should solve the problem.

However, if you are not sure you are using Adobe Air on your computer you may consider uninstalling it completely.

To answer your question, as far as I can tell, Adobe AIR was installed along with some other Adobe product (Acrobat Reader or Flash) without asking you or me, but is probably not needed. The safest thing to do is to uninstall it and only reinstall it if something quits working and seems to need it.
Adobe says "The Adobe® AIR™ runtime lets developers use proven web technologies to build rich Internet applications that run outside the browser on multiple operating systems." (http://www.adobe.com/products/air/)
Wikipedia has a good write-up at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Integrated_Runt...
