After repeated scans the result screen shows "No data. Waiting for first scan to finish." but also shows no security threats identified. System score reported as 0%. No report of any patches required although the score is reported as 85% below other users.

System score reported as 94% for 10 previous weeks but 0% in 11th week. Seems odd.

Your post appears under the CSI section of the forum. I don't know if this was intentional or accidental - as your problem seems to be one that may be related to PSI .

CSI is the paid-up program for business users, and as such, any problems require specialist attention from Secunia, themselves - which may be why your problem hasn't received any attention 'til now - the majority of forum readers and contributors, will just skip past anything showing up in CSI.

Can you confirm, whether you are in fact a CSI or PSI user, in order to gain the correct advice?

You are indeed correct about the program designation. I was referring to a PSI problem. I will try another approach since the service is useless, as described, until I can make some adjustments.

Thanks

You haven't mentioned which version of PSI you're using - have you just downloaded the latest 2.0 beta version (1.9.0.5004) that caused this anomaly?;
or did it just suddenly happen?

Whichever version of PSI you use, you could try this:

- right click PSI tray icon and exit;
- re-open PSI from Start>All Programs;
- run a full scan.

I have PSI Version 1.5.0.0, which may be very old but I followed the sequence you recommended with no different result. I am confused about the value of this program. Would it be better to just uninstall the program and look for another alternative?

This has happened in the past with those using v.1.5.0.0 (What I suggested, wouldn't have worked with this version). In these previous instances the problem was, in the vast majority of cases, easily solved by updating to the latest stable version, 1.5.0.2

I would recommend persevering, and at least trying this update to see if it will solve your problem. Before running the install, be sure to fully exit PSI, by right clicking the PSI tray icon (bottom right of desktop) and EXIT. The new update will uninstall your existing version on installation.

The value of this program, is only apparent when you don't use it - and then it could be too late. I am unsure if there is an equivalent program currently available.

The majority of problems that users experience, and are unable to solve for themselves, are often resolved with help from this forum.
