Has anyone else had a problem with PSI taking forever (51 seconds) to bring up the "Checking Connectivity" screen and then finally the GUI screen appears about 3 seconds later. Seems that with each newer version of PSI, it kept getting slower and slower to start up. I have un-installed each previous version before doing an upgrade to the latest version....gone and cleaned out caches, registry, etc.....done defragging and everything I could think of that would possibly cause this 51 second delay. Is PSI just gathering data from my system and it's taking this long or is there something I'm missing somewhere. Could my anti-virus (NOD32) or firewall (Zonealarm) have anything to do with this long drawn out start up of PSI. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays to one and all. I wish I had your problem. I keep getting an error message reading "Unable to retrieve user ID from Secunia. Please verify that you are able to connect..."...yadayadayada. I have no problems connecting via Firefox or Explorer, yet it also states that proxy support for the PSI is currently unavailable. I'm not using proxies via Firefox, so I just don't get it...... | ||||||||
