I can't get rid of the error on Secunia PSI of the adobe reader 9.x. Adobe reader is updated, but the scan says it still needs to be updated and nothing I've done, including removing and reinstalling the reader helps. Help!

You need to supply the installation path for anyone to start to answer your question.

Last edited on 13th Dec, 2010 09:30 Hi,

To obtain the needed installation paths of all instances of Adobe Reader 9.x, you will need to copy-and-paste the contents of the "Installation Path" field in the PSI here.

This field can be found on the Insecure/Patch/End-Of-Life tabs in the PSI 1.5.x after enabling Advanced Mode in the top right corner by clickng "+" next to a program's entry to expand it, and then pasting the contents of "Installation Path" here.

To find the path in the PSI 2.0.x BETA, go to the Results tab, click "+" to expand, and paste the contents from the "Installation Path" field.

With this information, we should be able to troubleshoot the issue.

hope this helps.

Did you re-install from the Abode website recently?
Have you got a C:\Program Files(X86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\ folder?

No, I didn't install Adobe X yet. No folder like you mentioned. Only a version 9 folder like in the path.

Please open Adobe Reader. Click Help and Check for Updates.

If no updates are downloaded, can you tell me what version is reported when you click About Adobe Reader?

Since there is an Adobe X, I uninstalled version 9.4.1 and installed the version X. This has resolved the issue.
