Mozilla Firefox 3.6.x
1 Security Threat, rated as a: Category 4 Threat 1 solution should be applied

If I download the solution I get the firefox version I already have (3.6.16)

Hello.
It's not always the case that updating a program will automatically mean the removal of the previous/older version....psi will continue to detect it even if it resides in the Recycle bin.
Do you have also version showing in the Patched tab ?

psi versions 1.5.0.1 and 1.5.0.2

Use the Advanced interface...or switch to it ( Simple/ Advanced..top right of psi panel ).

1/. Click on the + sign alongside the programme to expand it.
2/. Click again on Tech Details in the Toolbox to confirm the installation path of the detected file/prog. 3/.Post the Installation Path back to the forum if you are uncertain how best to proceed.

psi version 2.0 Beta

Go to Results from the Dashboard

1/. Click on the + sign alongside the file.
2/. This will reveal the file path.
3/. Post the info back to the forum if uncertain how best to proceed.

Hope this helps......regards,

What version of psi are you using ? Are you saying that you have no other version of FF showing in the Patched tab; only the older/previous showing in Insecure ? Have you re-booted since having updated ? Sometimes that is necessary for the change to "kick in"/register.

TI use PSI 1.5.0.2.
In the patched tab I have FF 3.6.13 as detected as patched, but I still get the insecure warning for FF 3.6.12.
I have rebooted since, even have reinstalled FF

I've found the solution. Ther was a FF version in C:\Windows\ERDNT. I've deleted this and now it's ok

The insecure old version may be in a non-default location, i.e. back-up folder/drive.
Click on the [+] on its left to give Installation Path.
Highlight this and copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) on next reply.

EDIT: Crossed post - you've obviously sorted it.

Being as the new version is now showing....you can remove the older version....either go to Add/Remove or follow the file path ( previously described), to delete.
