I have 3 threats for Microsoft IE 8.x and one threat for Windows 7. As I try to correct, I am taken to the Microsoft Update site and it says I have not updates. I update daily so I am not surprised.

Should I just ignore the 4 threats?

Hello.
Here'a copy of an official reply concerning MS updates which you might try :-

When updating Microsoft Applications, it is a good idea to keep in mind that some Microsoft Updates do not "kick in" until after a reboot. Therefore, it is recommended to try following this procedure when installing Microsoft Updates:

1) Check Microsoft Update: install all security-related patches
2) Reboot
3) Repeat step 1: repeat step 2 if anything was installed at this step
4) Run a full rescan with the PSI

Hope the foregoing is of some help....regards,

Things to try:

1) If using PSI 1.5.0.2 (or earlier**) - right click tray icon, select Exit; then re-launch PSI from Start>All Programs;

2) Consider downloading and running Belarc Advisor - this is good at determining if any M$ hotfixes are missing:

http://belarc.com/free_download.html

3) As you're probably aware, a few checks of M$ Updates, followed by re-booting, is sometimes required.

4) Finally after a re-boot, re-scan PSI again.

**If using an earlier PSI version, you should update to minimum 1.5.0.2 (download link top right, above).

Running PSI v1.5.0.2. Did a MS Update--no updates available. Ran Belarc--Green check on Security updates. Did an exit on PSI and ran from programs. All four threats have disappeared!!!!!!

Thanks all for the assistance.
