Hi just noticed that I'm not fully patch I'm running 11.0.1.400 and that build 11.0.2.556 is available to download manually. Don't know why it isn't automatically patched but this is something that I would thought PSI would alert?

I can't see any vulnerabilty fixes there; only bug fixes and enhancements. So, no, Secunia wouldn't notify you.

Techniques used for detecting and neutralizing rootkits, have been improved

So the fact the above enhancement suggests that the old version is unable to detect/neutralise certain rootkits you wouldn't classify as a vulnerability?

No. A vulnerability would be when the Kaspersky program itself could be exploited. Running the old version doesn't increase your chance of getting a rootkit. They've made it better. You could say they do that each time they update the virus definitions.

The purpose of the Secunia products for enterprises is to allow them to concentrate on patches which may affect the security of their operation. In that environment extensive testing is advisable before deploying updates and you don't want to increase your workload unneccessarily.
