Hello.
If it is the case that you have recently moved from the Chrome Stable version to the Beta version......firstly, please be advised that Secunia does not monitor Beta/Dev versions of programs.
It will still detect the older Stable version/file even if it is in the Recycle bin. Chrome does not automatically remove the older file of Stable/Beta/Dev nor Canary Build...you have to remember to remove them manually.
Hope this helps......regards,

Another thought.....could you possibly mean that psi is telling you that Internet Explorer 8 is Insecure ? Even if it is fully patched, it is still deemed to be NOT secure for browsing. As it is an integral component of Windows, it cannot be removed....but you should keep it up to date.
If you need to post again concerning your problem; could you please include details of your psi version and Operating System ( XP/Vista/Windows7 etc..): and the file path to the vulnerability.

Finding the file path.

psi versions 1.5.0.1 and 1.5.0.2

Use the Advanced interface...or switch to it ( Simple/ Advanced..top right of psi panel ).

1/. Click on the + sign alongside the programme to expand it.
2/. Click again on Tech Details in the Toolbox to confirm the installation path of the detected file/prog. 3/.Post the Installation Path back to the forum if you are uncertain how best to proceed.

psi version 2.0

Go to Results from the Dashboard

1/. Click on the + sign alongside the file.
2/. This will reveal the file path.
3/. Post the info back to the forum if uncertain how best to proceed.

Hope the foregoing helps.....regards,
