I have attempted to update and or remove insecure programs on my computer. I tried to uninstall old versions of Adobe, Yahoo messenger java and others. Only the latest version appear in my add remove programs. I have updated Adobe until I am blue in the face, it still says insecure. I get the annoying pop ups every time I start my computer. I have downloaded all of the latest versions. How can I secure my computer?

Thank you

Hi,

Try checking the paths to where the psi found your programs, it may help you to understand why they are not getting patched correctly.

Hey Dave- I thought this was a path problem too as I have duplicates of programs on an inactive slave drive that were showing up. It does pertain to these, but now I'm experiencing the same thing on some of my active programs (I restarted PSI and performed a new scan)- when I try to update the programs I get messages that the updates are already installed. Most notably MS Access 2003 seems to be giving people a lot of headaches.

Can an Admin PLEASE address this?

HI and thank you! I wanted to write back right away but couldn't access my account. I tried resetting the password so many times, I wrote to Secunia and finally they got it corrected.

Your directions were wonderful! I found all the old programs and I now have a 100% score!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
