I have installed this patch more than once, and Secunia still reports the Firefox program as a security issue! Any suggestions other than removing the program??? I have rebooted and rescanned!! No luck. "Category 4 threat - patch should be applied" Done - still no luck!

Have you checked the path of where the psi detected this copy? It may give you a hint as to why it is found (backup copy, etc.).

I believe BigDave is right in this matter. I had two instances for Firefox in my program list under the control panel. One went to Mozilla and the other went to Mozilla3.0. The update for 3.0.4 did not over write the existing one 3.0. Remove the outdated one and rerun the Secunia and it will fix the issue and you can still have Firefox.

Yes, I believe you are right. I am keeping 3 machines up to date here, so I think I missed that one before. Thanks to everyone for your help!

Since I last updated Secunia earlier in December 2008, this is the second (of two) patches I have done that have not led to any change in Secunia's notification of a patch being needed.
Is there something wrong with this version of Secunia? I am beginning to wonder.
The other patch was for MSXML 6x.

In both cases I installed the patch, but the notification remained.
