Is this running in the back ground and you can't kill it? That is unacceptable as it cuts my internet connection speed in half from 20M to 10M. I only want it running when I click on it. If that is the case I need to know how to turn it off or it is gone. |

Hi ldynblk In PSI interface go to configuration then settings and click on Prompt before running automatic program updates. Wish you luck. -- HP pavilion DV6 Win 7 64bit - SP1 IE9 RTW + MSSE2 |

Uncheck everything on the configuration page to get the minimum overhead from PSI. I'm lucky if I get 1Mb on my broadband at the moment, and I don't see any effect from running PSI. There's no network activity registered when not scanning or downloading an update. -- This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it. |

I have tested mine with it running and not and there is a definite difference of 50%. Right now it is uninstalled. Nothing but problems on my XP machine since PSI 2.0. Previous version I could exit and there would not be a problem. The latest I have not been able to kill it. | ||||||||
