Is this running in the back ground and you can't kill it? That is unacceptable as it cuts my internet connection speed in half from 20M to 10M. I only want it running when I click on it. If that is the case I need to know how to turn it off or it is gone.

Hi ldynblk

In PSI interface go to configuration then settings and click on Prompt before running automatic program updates.

Wish you luck.

Uncheck everything on the configuration page to get the minimum overhead from PSI.

I'm lucky if I get 1Mb on my broadband at the moment, and I don't see any effect from running PSI. There's no network activity registered when not scanning or downloading an update.

I have tested mine with it running and not and there is a definite difference of 50%. Right now it is uninstalled. Nothing but problems on my XP machine since PSI 2.0. Previous version I could exit and there would not be a problem. The latest I have not been able to kill it.
