I have an old system running Windows 2000 SP4.

I'd like to take advantage of the new features in Secunia 2. Before I try upgrading from ver. 1.5 to ver. 2, can anyone else say whether they got it to work on Windows 2000 SP4?

I do understand this is not a supported configuration.

Cheers,

MetaEd

I seem to remember a thread/post a few weeks ago that dealt with such a question....whereby Emil gave some unofficial advice regarding....I can't seem to put my fingers on it at the moment....but there may be hope.....you could try scouring thro' his posts for it.

@metaed
Unofficially....you should be able to install psi 2.0 without too much hassle. So I guess it's a matter of simply giving it a go.ftp://ftp.secunia.com/PSISetup.exe psi 2.0 Full Version
The following may offer some insight :-
http://secunia.com/gfx/pdf/Secunia%20PSI%202.0%20-... PSI PDF MANUAL

If it does not work, the Secunia PSI 1.5.0.2 installer is also available on the Secunia PSI download page, so you can reinstall if needed:

Direct download link for Secunia PSI 1.5.0.2:
http://secunia.com/PSI1Setup.exe

If you do decide to try it, remember to clear out temp. files/browser cache before you install, and let it remove the previous version.
Here is the link to the new FAQ's should you need them to refer to :-

Hope the foregoing helps........regards,
