Hi all

In PSI dashboard interface, alongside the heading: Auto-Updates History there is a number of how many security patches installed and if you click on it a new window appear showing you those updates.

Due to the problem I have faced last week (See the following thread):

http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/758...

So, when I open my auto-update history Iím presented by the following screen:

http://i53.tinypic.com/2wd58bk.jpg

The question is: can we remove the failed attempts from the history? And how? Cause itís annoying to see so many attempts and fails. If this procedure isnít supported by this release of PSI, so maybe SECUNIA will consider making such thing available in the future.

Thank you.

Hello John.
Don't know for sure....there seems no mention of clearing the history in the PDF....have you tried unchecking the box ( Auto update this program ) and a full rescan ? If it does work/clear the history; you can re-check the box for the program and see what happens.
Hope it helps......

@ mogs

Tried the proposed solution but it didn't work.
Maybe someone from secunia can help.

Good day.

Hi

Currently there is not way to remove the failed attemps on the Auto-Update History.

Could a solution be a filter to show/hide failed attempts?

@ M.Hansen

Maybe the solution for a filter could help, but if you find a method to let the scanner if he found a new installed patch of a program which failed the update before, to eliminate the failed attempt.

Thanks

Hi again.

I've added your suggested to our internal system so our developers can have a look at it.

Thank you for your feedback.

Is the Auto-Update history in a text file like most log files are? If so...Whats the files' name and the location it is stored at? Then it is as simple as deleting it to clear it.

If it is internal within the main prg and undeletable...Then maybe changing the prg slightly to make the log file seperate from the main prg, yet in the same folder as the main prg. ( Like so many programs do. ) Just a thought.

As a Secunia Official has already explained, there is currently no way of removing these entries.
