On my HP 6730b, HP Health Check is in a folder called HP in the start menu. There isn't a separate entry for it in Programs and Features. I presume it's bundled into one of the HP addons. It checks for driver updates and such like. They may be confusing it with something similar from HP. It has a service running which the Bitdefender program might have picked up.

Like you say, I can't see it or PSI causing any problems with an anti-virus program.

The HP folder in my Start menu has only MediaSmart, Update, and Support Assistant (never found anything in the Startup Services [msconfig-->] either).

Support Assistant has replaced HealthCheck on Windows 7. The Bitdefender tool may be unable to distinguish them.
