If this is not in the correct forum plase move it and let me know where. Clicking on the try Icon the secunia flashes on the screen and goes back to the desktop. Thanks for any help. |

Can U please right click on the Tasktray icon>about The version showing should be 2.0.0.3001 If not U can download the latest version from here: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |

I have Windows Pro and mine does the same thing. It is apparently running in the background because I get a rating of 95%. I have the correct version but I can't open Secunia PSI to see what I need to download to fix it. Why won't the window stay open? | ||||||||

Hi , This "sounds" like a known bug specific to XP SP3 . Two workarounds for XP are detailed towards the end of this FAQ item (scroll down) :- http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... Make sure ALL your settings for IE are as directed . Hope this helps . Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

March 6, 2011 Hi Guys I had the same problem but after searching & reading tons of posts, it was suggested that you need to uninstall ALL & ANY versions of PSI on your PC's. Then you need to reboot your PC. Then you need to clean out your registry of any traces of PSI (use a VG, reputable registry cleaner like: CCleaner, Glary Utilities or another you're familiar with), & reboot your PC again. Now go ahead & install the very latest PSI from Secunia. And it should work... That's the steps I took, plus I have both Glary Utilities & CCleaner programs which I used (just to make sure I got everything). And PSI worked! I cannot guarantee that this method will work for any of you (I hope it does). I'm just trying to add my solution to the list, since it helped me. Hi Para , Thanks for posting , you don't actually detail the problem you were experiencing ; although your solution does help in certain cases , it does not with a specific XP bug which closes the GUI window almost instantaneously . Glad you got yourself sorted . Take care anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
