I went to the java website and downloaded/installed the current version per the pop-up suggestion I got when I tried to run PSI. Regardless, I see this:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: (com/secunia/SoftwareInspector/SIApplet) bad major version at offset=6
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassImpl(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.access$200( 31)
at java.lang.ClassLoader$
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass( :225)
at .java:556)
at$400(URLClassLoader. java:119)
at ava:487)
at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(AppletClass
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass( 02)
at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(AppletClass
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass( 68)
at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(AppletClassL
at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(AppletPanel.ja va:776)
at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(AppletViewer. java:1765)
at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader( 705)

In the Java Console I issued the "l" command and see this

Dump classloader list ...
codebase= key= zombie=true, cache=true, refcount=0, info=sun.plugin.ClassLoaderInfo@68106810
codebase=, key=,... zombie=false, cache=true, refcount=1, info=sun.plugin.ClassLoaderInfo@a720a72

any ideas on why I cannot run? thx.
