I have tried several times to upgrade Secunia to the newest version on a Windows XP system. Never works. Have to re-install earlier version. Is this a "forever" problem for XP users?

I hate to say it, but there seem to be far to many hoops to jump through in order to get the new version to work with XP. The old version does a perfectly acceptable job, albeit one that requires a little more effort on my part to insure updates are installed correctly. I thought I would check to see if there was a new "XP-friendly" version out there. That doesn't seem to be the case. Guess the new version will wait for the new PC six months from now.

@rtrooney
Well, at least you've checked it out for yourself.....it does seem that the procedure is often not straightforward for XP users....tho' most seem to have succeeded....eventually.
Here's the link to the Changelog( in case you havn't got it bookmarked already ) : you'll be able to watch for new releases.http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...
