Hi. Just thought I'd report the problem I've been having ever since upgrading to PSI 2.0 (I never had problems with earlier versions). It still works, and the scanning works fine, but the interface is sluggish and unresponsive to the point of making it almost unusable. Clicking on anything requires a wait of at least 10 seconds or so before anything happens. Scrollbars and even moving the PSI window have a lag of several seconds, making it very difficult - not to mention frustrating - to use.

Just to be clear: the scanning doesn't seem to be affected, it's the *interface* that is the problem. And it's a serious one, because it renders PSI almost unusable, compared to earlier versions.

Incidentally, I don't have comparable problems running any other software, so this is certainly a problem specific to Secunia PSI, rather than my PC.

My PC: Atom 330 1.6GHz / 2GB RAM / Windows 7 32-bit.

Set mousepointer on PSI icon at the right side of the taskbar, right-click, select 'about' and you see the version you use.

Problem solved, I had v2.0.0.1003 and not v2.0.0.3001. Interestingly, v2.0.0.1003 showed itself as being up-to-date and patched. Now it is back to working like a charm.

Thank you mogs - that's made a big difference. It turns out I, like tglenew, was using 2.0.0.1003 (oddly similar to the current version number - I thought for a moment you'd probably just made a typo...) In the past, PSI has always been good about notifying me about new versions, so I'd assumed I was using the latest (plus when I checked, Secunia's download page just lists the latest version as '2.0' anyway). Having upgraded, it's still a bit sluggish but it's definitely much, much better. Thanks so much for your help - much appreciated!

@tremolo29
Glad you've got it up and running !
From my experience, it usually seems to take a day or so to settle down. Regularly defragging seems to affect performance.
