Have you read thro' the FAQ's here ? :-

And checked the settings particularly here ? :-

Are you referring to the following ? :-

Open the control panel
Open Internet Options > Security tab. In Windows7/Vista you may need to click 'Network and Internet' to access the Internet Options
Select the Internet zone and click on the Custom Level button.
In Security Settings, go to the Scripting>Active Scripting option.
Make sure that Active Scripting is enabled (rather than Disabled or Prompted).

Press OK then Yes.

EDIT.......just spotted your reply....okay !

OK, Idid it did not fixed it.
I am at the third "fix".
This site has a bug here because you go to certificate revocation at the browser level tools not through "START".
Also I will not compromise my security because Secunia has problems.

I presume you were referring to the following, and had noted the last sentence ?

If this has still not fixed your problem, go back to the Internet Options, then go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Security->Check for server certificate revocation.

The Secunia SSL certificate is signed by Thawte. If the Thawte site is not accessible from the computer, and if this option is selected, then the PSI will fail to connect to our site. So please remove the check at “Check for server certificate revocation". However, please understand that this means your computer would not notice if a site publisher revoked his/her certificate, which could indicate a theft or loss. If you are concerned about this, try the steps outlined below before this one to see if they solve the problem

Lots of XP users have encountered problems....it may be best to try a re-install once you have worked your way thro' the settings.
Before you try it...clear out temp. files/browser cache....and then let it remove the previous it detects before install.

So it's all up and running now then ?
If you've got the UI.....Dashboard......you will see a section on the left of....Learn More....There is a PDF Manual available for reading to familiarize yourself.

It might be better if you were to inform Support of details regarding problems you've encountered with instructions re certificate revocation. At the moment they are busy oftimes elsewhere, so e mailing would likely bring it to their attention.

Hope this helps.....regards,

@Byrod

If the issue is now resolved ; as you are the originator of the thread, you have the option to close it, by selecting ACCEPT. This will lock the thread : preventing tag-on posts and reminder e mails.

Regards,

Hi Mogs:
I have joined this thread because I have a similar problem.
I have uninstalled Secunia PSI and removed all Registry entries.
I have then reinstalled Secunia PSI and it is running on my PC and the tray icon shows results of a PSI scan.
However, when I click on the icon to open Secunia PSI, it flashes on the monitor screen and immediately closes.
I haven't been able to resolve this problem and hope you can guide me to a solution.
I have attempted to use the steps supplied by you in this thread but it hasn't worked.
I have Windows XP SP3 installed.

@madamimadam29

Hello.
It might have been better had you chosen to start your own thread ; which is what you'll need to do if Byrod does decide to close it before we finish....please bear that in mind.
What version of IE are you using ?
Have you tried re-booting since you carried out the new install of psi ?
Can you confirm that you've meticulously checked settings in the FAQ's here :-
http://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/faq/#s3 and particularly those pertaining to XP ?
It might be better, if none of that has worked, to try a re-install, but this time let it remove the previous version it detects. Before you do that, clear your temp. files/browser cache.
Hope this helps.......
