continues to show as Insecure & Waiting for update to complete. Yet no bits &/or pieces of it exist on my computer. Used Revo Uninstaller in Advanced mode to uninstall it. Searched Downloads, Documents & Computer for it & found nothing.

Downloaded FF4 so can't understand why FF 3.6.3 is still showing.

Have rescanned many times but still get FF 3.6.3.

Please advise method of removing this false positive.

Vista SP2 32 bit.

Please doubleclick the entry in Scan Results and then click Troubleshoot Report in the Toolbox. Copy and Paste the information there into your reply.

You have the PortableApps version of Firefox. If you require it, you will need to download the latest version from PortableApps.com. If you no longer need it, you can delete the folder
C:\Program Files\Portable Apps\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox.

Many thx ddmarshal. Opened Need help with this program & found the Path led to Portable Apps so deleted it, ran another scan & it has gone. Can't imagine how it got into Portable Apps because I don't have a cell phone or other portable devices except this laptop.

The last scan shown in the previous post was just a scheduled one - manual scans were done on every day since.

The secret for finding what appear to be false positives is double clicking on them. Am much obliged to you for this info.

Portable Apps versions of programs are put onto USB drives so you (or someone using your computer) can take their favorite application with them to use on whatever computer is available. Has nothing to do with cell phones or such.
