PSI DOES NOT AUTO UPDATE ANDI CAN'T UPDATE

My two computers
On Windows 7 laptop, a Windows Update that PSI says is available does not and has not appear in the endless efforts I've made to update. It simply is not there in the Update window after I click "Check for new updates." This has gone on for weeks.
Then there is this truly weird cURL.7X situation. Again, PSI does not auto update and when I follow the link I land at a sales window that has an endless array of cURL products. There certainly no distinct update visible to download. There is rather a madhouse of products that are advertized.

The Windows XP computer only has the same cURL 7X. problem described in the above Windows 7 account.

Hello.
There's some discussion re cURL7.X on the following thread which may offer some explanation :-

Regarding Windows update :-

When updating Microsoft Applications, it is a good idea to keep in mind that some Microsoft Updates do not "kick in" until after a reboot. Therefore, it is recommended to try following this procedure when installing Microsoft Updates:

1) Check Microsoft Update: install all security-related patches
2) Reboot
3) Repeat step 1: repeat step 2 if anything was installed at this step
4) Run a full rescan with the PSI

Have you tried confirming your update status by running Belarc Advisor ? It carries out a free full pc audit....it may enable you to confirm or otherwise, Secunia's detection.

Hope the foregoing is of some help.......regards,
