The Google pack download is useful in providing access to the Chrome browser by all accounts on a computer. Secunia however keeps advising me the version is 8.xx when in fact it is the latest 10.xx. Secunia sends me to the download for the single version that must be downloaded and if need be uninstalled by each account holder on a computer. There is some sort of problem in the way Secunia analyses Chrome.

Hello.
The Chrome Stable channel has been updated to 10.0.648.204 for Windows.
If you were using Chrome prior to the version aforementioned...it is likely that psi is detecting an old/previous file version. It is usual for Chrome to leave behind the previous .
If you click on the + sign left alongside the detected vulnerability it will reveal the file path. Clicking on the folder icon immediately left of that will open the folder where you can remove/delete.
Is the newer version of Chrome also showing ?
