Good morning/afternoon or evening, wherever you are!

Several days ago I received an email from Secunia re updating OSI. However, I have PSI 1.0, and recently I was told you do not need OSI when you have PSI installed! Thus, the confusion. Do I just ignore the OSI email or what?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.

Since you're using PSI, ignore the less-comprehensive online scan.

On the Secunia home page for their different scanners, it says the OSI online scanner checks 70 programs, the PSI personal and the NSI for business says it checks thousands of programs for vulnerability.

"The Software Inspectors are perfect supplements to Windows Update as they inform about missing patches for thousands of third party programs. Secunia offers three Software Inspectors, each with a specific user focus"

Thanks, RexB, for your fast response. I'll do as you say and just ignore the OSI update email.

You're welcome Copeco :)

These are good scanners, I feel a little better every time they find something to fix/update to help keep me squared away.
