Any recent release of Media Player Classic (MPC) is considered as "end-of-life" by Secunia PSI 1.0.0.1.

Short history of MPC:
* There was the gabest project on sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/
* Then there was the clsid project on sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli2/

Latest release of the old project: 6.4.9.0 (20 March 2006)
Latest release of the new project: 6.4.9.1 SVN revision 86 (15 November 2008)

If you might consider any 6.4.9.0 release as "unsecured", you shouldn't consider the 6.4.9.1 releases as "end-of-life". The community is active on this project on the Doom9 forums: http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=15

Today, a test was done to build a 6.9.9.9 version of MPC, and Secunia PSI still states it as "end-of-life". Please, do not consider MPC 6.4.9.1 and higher versions as "end-of-life". For accuracy about which one is the latest patched build, please use the SVN revision number: current latest is 86.
