According to PSI Scanner the Excel 2003 is open to this thread http://secunia.com/advisories/31593/. Yet I download office2003-KB958436-FullFile-ENU.exe and when it is run it indicates that the patch has already been applied!
Fixed the problem. Was finding the file in another partition on dual boot system.

I am having the same issue. Secunia is saying
"This installation of Microsoft Excel 2003 is insecure and potentially exposes your system to security threats!"
I have downloaded the patch as instructed but Secunia does not recognise the patch. Also having the same problem with MS Office Comaptibility Pk ver 12.0.6324.5001 and Word 2003 ver.11.0.8227.0
I am running Laptop with Pentiun Dual Core with Win XP and Office 2003
Should I ignore the warnings?

Hi, there are a whole series of these threads all dealing with the various office programs. Most folks are finding that if they force a manual scan it clears the problem. |

I am also receiving the same "already installed" message when attempting to install the Microsoft Excel 2003 security update. Scheduled and manual Secunia scans both continue to show Excel as an insecure program. |
