I just installed Photobie ( http://www.photobie.com ) from a link provided by the Kim Komando web site, because I needed a tool that was not available on Picasa. I tried to submit the program through the dialog, but it did not work.

Have you looked at the FAQ's relating to suggesting missing programs?
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

Secunia also require a file with version information otherwise they cannot use it for detection.

Thanks for reminding me to read the instructions. The "fakepath" path note told me I needed to do the trusted zone thing (I rarely use IE, so I am not very familiar with it.) After that, I was able to submit the file normally, so I hope to receive an answer soon.

I don't know how to locate what you want. What I sent was the ".EXE" file pointed to by the desktop shortcut, and appears to be the only EXE file in the directory. I did send the link to the site where it came from. It was a simple install, and what I wanted to use worked when I tried it.

The "About" panel of "Help" shows release 7.2.8, but I don't know where it finds that information.

I know that you can't just install every requested program such as this one, but I don't really know how to proceed from here. Any suggestions?

Hi Dave.
I've downloaded and looked at all the .dll files, and I've been unable to find a single fine with any useful information.
The Vendor has apparently not updated the files in the software, because (excepts for the one file that says "7.1.4" and the one that sais "6.8") all of the files says that you have version 1.0 or 1.1, which you don't.

I've just replied your E-mail with further details.

I have forwarded the updated Email to the photobie site contact address, along with a note about failing to update metadata. I will pass along any replies.
