Secunia have reported it here: http://secunia.com/advisories/44846/ If U have already updated U need to do this to remove the old OCX file: REMOVE OLD ADOBE (FORMERLY MACROMEDIA) OCX FILES. If Flash was running when an update was attempted it will not remove all of the old (and vulnerable) files. To remove these files: COMPLETELY EXIT (using Task Manager if necessary): a. All Browsers. b. Windows Messenger. c. Incredimail d. All Adobe products e. PSI unless using Version 2. Now navigate to here: 32 Bit Systems - C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash 64 Bit Systems - C:\Windows\sysWOW64\Macromed\Flash In these locations there should only be one .OCX file which is currentlyFLASH10s.OCX - The latest stable version (10.3.181.23). Right click & select DELETE on any other.OCX files that are present. If U want to double check Flash is working & the version installed click here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Run a full PSI scan & the problem is history. Then what are U reporting? U have published a Trouble Shooting report that contains an out of date OCX file. If U are going to be terse with someone trying to help U then create a thread that FULLY explains your issue as requested by Secunia. Before creating your thread: Please make sure to include as many details as possible. The more details, the easier it will be for other users to assist you. If your thread relates to a problem with patching a program, please be sure to include and verify: * The path to where the program was detected on your PC * Description of what you've done to patch the program * That you have rescanned your PC after applying the patch -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |

Hi all , Could it be that @vamsi3001 has seen the "update" requirement for the Flash insecurity from Kaspersky but has not realised that one needs to run a full manual scan with the PSI to enable it to report a "new" insecurity ; the Troubleshoot Report dates back to 3 , June , 2011 which is prior to the Secunia Advisory for Flash . Hope that helps . Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

Maurice, thank you for your tips. I always have troubles with Adobe flash player. However, this instruction seems to be really precise. I'm having an issue removing the old player and setting up the new one... -- Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment and play http://skillgameshq.com/ :) |

So you mean I need to delete my old adobe isn't it like it's just updating to new version? My instruction tell U exactly what to do. Adobe will uninstall the old version before installing the new PROVIDED U have completely shut down any programmes using Flash. If U do not shut down programmes using Flash the uninstall will not complete correctly leaving U with a vulnerable OCX file which will be found by PSI. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |
