When I tried to update Java, I got this. Can U see those entries in Control Panel>add/remove? - if so uninstall them all. If they are not there U have remnants of old programmes therefore navigate back to those entries - right click each one & select delete. Hi , I think part of the problem lies in the "wrong" update link being provided by the PSI in the Trobleshoot report posted and as described in this thread :- http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/952... The correct link for the JDK update (posted in the linked thread) seems to be :- http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/down... The older/oldest version files will still need a manual delete .
