all is in the title, I don't understand why my PC is considered secured by PSI software even if I have IE7 installed ?
Even if there's no patch yet, PSI should alert me about it.
I don't understand why it is not the case.

Microsoft has just released a patch for this... too late for PSI :)

That is because there hasn't been a patch out for the vulnerability until a few minutes ago. The psi will only tell you about it if there is a patch out (which there is now and my psi correctly complains that I need to install it :o)).

If you feel like fixing the 9 "unpatched" advisories affecting your IE 7 installation that MS has yet to patch, maybe you will enjoy this page:
http://secunia.com/advisories/product/12366/?task=...

And yes, there is such a page for each of the programs you have installed on your computer.

Vulnerability was known for a week, before being patched.
But PSI was keeping silence.

Why they think "patched" category is more fitting
to insecure software than "Insecure" one ?

BTW I know links to list all or unpatched vulnerability on secunia.com.
It is my job to know them. :-)

Patch was awaited about 1800 GMT, but it was not the point.
No need to capitalize, it is not effective. :-)

the pb is that I believed that Secunia PSI was a tool to evaluate in live the insecurity of my PC. not only to patch programs but also to show me which apps are insecured...
apparently that's not the case.
