Microsoft has released a number of updates/security patches since the last update to this advisory--is it still valid?

I've just installed 10 updates (via MS auto-update), including KB2530548 for IE8.

Although I restarted and rescanned, it's still showing as insecure. See the below thread for more info on a similar issue:

That advisory is valid. The very low level vulnerability has been around since 26/2/2007 & has been discussed on this Forum on numerous occasions.

Highly unlikely Microsoft will ever issue a hotfix after all this time.

IE 9 is not affected by this issue which U can upgrade to provided U do not have Windows XP SP3 32 Bit or Windows XP SP2 64 Bit.
