Secunia does it again highly commended for the third time in a row

16:31 CET, 20th April 2011 By Maria Eriksen Jensen.

I am pleased to announce that, once again, the Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) 4.1 has been recognised by SC Awards Europe as a ‘highly commended’ solution. This year it was in the category’ Best SME Security Solution’, nominated alongside industry peers such as ArcSight, Egress Software Technologies, WatchGuard, SafeNet, and Qualys, with the latter taking home the final award – congratulations! For more information about the SC Magazine Awards and this year's winners, click here http://www.scmagazineuk.com/awards/section/341/.

Secunia is starting to have a prominent track-record of industry awards - earlier this year the Secunia CSI 4.1 was ‘highly commended’ in the category ‘Best Vulnerability Management Tool’ by SC Magazine U.S. Awards 2011, and last year the Secunia CSI 3.0 was ‘highly commended’ in the category ‘Best Security Management’ by SC Awards Europe.

Together with last night’s commendation, these represent a great acknowledgement of the value that the Secunia CSI contributes to both the SMEs as well as the large enterprises, helping these organisations defend their business critical assets from the constant threat of third-party program vulnerabilities.

It further emphasises that the vulnerability threat is very real for all businesses – independent of size, geography or industry – and that ‘the patch works’. Program vulnerabilities, and in particular third-party program vulnerabilities, should be recognised and prioritised as part of any effective risk management strategy.
