3) Description of Vulnerability

Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in NOD32, which can
be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges on
a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the NOD32 GUI (nod32.exe) running
with SYSTEM privileges when a scheduled on-demand scan is being run
by the scheduler. This can be exploited to e.g. invoke cmd.exe with
SYSTEM privileges when a scheduled scan is running.
