4) Description of Vulnerability

Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in phpBugTracker,
which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

Input passed via the "bugid" parameter to attachment.php when
uploading a file is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL
query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires "Developer" permissions.

5) Solution

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
