4) Description of Vulnerability
Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in SyndeoCMS, which
can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed via the "newsletter_email" POST parameter (when editing
the "SyndeoCMS Options" configuration) to starnet/index.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires access rights to the "SyndeoCMS
Options" configuration section and "magic_quotes_gpc" to be disabled.
