Map, manage, and repackage your program inventory in the most cost effective way possible - Integrating with dynamic security intelligence also boosts compliance
The Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) integrates seamlessly with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager including System Center 2012 to help you stay compliant and up-to-date with the latest security updates from third (3rd) party vendors and Microsoft.
The Secunia CSI adds a critical security aspect to the Software Update Management and Asset Intelligence capabilities of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. While System Center Configuration Manager offers many great features in order to configure and manage servers and desktops, System Center Configuration Manager lacks the specialised capabilities within software inventory mapping and security intelligence related to software.
The Secunia CSI provides highly detailed software inventory including both programs and plug-ins. This inventory is in turn mapped to security intelligence related to the individual programs and plug-ins as well as details about vendor supplied security updates.
The Secunia CSI can automatically repackage these patches and push them to System Center Configuration Manager, allowing you to control, manage, and monitor the deployment using System Center Configuration Manager. The Secunia CSI can further conduct scans of desktop and server systems to ensure that the updates are applied correctly and that all systems are fully compliant.
Thanks to the full integration between Microsoft System Center 2012 and Secunia CSI you no longer have to login to separate consoles to do your day-to-day work. We have made the Secunia Package System available directly in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, including all the preconfigured patches that come with Secunia CSI. Secunia understands the challenges organizations face to implement an effective patch management process.
The lack of visibility and support for the prioritization of updates leads to organizations investing resources in vain to keep their environments patched and therefore, secure.
Based on this understanding, Secunia developed the concept of "Complete Patch Management".
