System Requirements:

The Secunia CSI Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SC2012) plugin enables you to easily create and deploy packages for third-party (non-Microsoft) updates using the Secunia Package System (SPS) directly from the System Center 2012 console.

The Secunia SC2012 plugin runs only through the Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager console and does not start on its own. It requires a Secunia CSI account that is purchased separately.

Release history

Version 2.0.0.5002 (Maintenance Release 11th july 2014)

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary changes are:

General:

  • The Secunia Daemon and SC2012 Plugin can now run simultaneously on the same Windows Account
  • Collection scanning no longer intermittently stops under specific circumstances
  • Daemon: Password handling now allows for special characters

Various:
In addition to the above, a number of minor bug fixes and enhancements have been completed.

Version 2.0.0.4001 (Maintenance Release 1st May 2014)

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary changes are:

General:

  • Creating a Mozilla Firefox or Adobe Flash package with the SC2012 Plugin no longer fails when proceeding to Step 2
  • Added a special case for Adobe Shockwave to display the version correctly when scanned by System Center Configuration Manager (under the assumption that the Product Version is kept consistent as in the format of 12.0.4r123).
  • Searching for devices with * in Secunia > Import no longer hangs the screen with the message "Loading" and the status indicator/icon running continually.

In addition to the above, a number of minor bug fixes and enhancements have been completed.

Version 2.0.0.3001 (Maintenance Release 27th February 2014)

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary change is the Secunia SC2012 Plugin now generates WSUS Publisher self signed certificates.

Version 2.0.0.2011(CSI 7) (Product Fix, 3rd February 2014)

The primary change includes the following error fix:

General:

  • Unable to publish packages with the SC2012 Plugin – When creating a package with the SC2012 Plugin, an error “Failed to publish package" was displayed. The package was created successfully, the error was displayed, the SPS wizard stayed open and the package was not published. Now, if the package is created successfully, a success message is displayed, the SPS wizard is closed and the package is published.

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary changes are:

General:

  • "Unexpected Error" displayed when trying to save the SC2012 configuration - Fixed.
  • Secunia Daemon not working - Fixed

Version 2.0.0.1002 (Maintenance release, 17th October 2013)

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary changes are:

General:

  • Timeout for SC2012 Plugin - Fixed.
  • Patches - Right-click is not working - Fixed
  • New Custom Package (WSUS Disconnect) – When the user is connected to the WSUS server and selects the New Custom Package button, the display says that the WSUS server is disconnected. Fixed.
  • SC2012 Inventory Import data different to with CSI scan results - Fixed.
  • Publish package and Approve package - After successfully publishing a SPS package, a pop-up window appears where the user can approve the package. When the user clicks Approve Package, the pop-up disappears, but actually the package is not approved yet. Fixed.
  • Schedule: First, Next, Last, Previous page buttons are not working - Fixed.
  • Collection scan fails with message: "site not setup..." even though it is set up - Fixed.

Version 2.0.0.1001 (Initial release, 4th September 2013)

SC2012 Plugin released with the Secunia CSI 7.0.

Version 1.5.0.3004 (Maintenance release, 2nd April 2014)

CSI 6.0 Daemon and SC2012 Plugin

The primary changes are:

  • When performing a search in the list of imported hosts, the error "A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly" is no longer displayed
  • The WSUS settings are now saved and the user no longer needs to re-enter them when starting the System Center Console
  • Searching for devices with * in Secunia > Import no longer hangs the screen with the message "Loading" and the status indicator/icon running continually
  • Enhancements have been made to the consistency of the user interface

Version 1.5.0.2039 (Maintenance release, 10th February 2014)

General:

  • This release contains the Collection Scanning features, which were previously only available in the Secunia SC2012 Plugin for CSI 7.
  • Packages can now be successfully published using the Secunia SC2012 Plugin.

Version 1.5.0.26 (Maintenance release, 20th June 2013)

This is a minor maintenance release. The primary changes are:

General:

  • The Secunia SC2012 Plugin installer does not install the plugin correctly when the SC2012 Administrative console is not installed on the C: drive. Fixed.
  • The plugin attempts to connect to the SC2012 server when the connection is already established. Fixed
  • The SC2012 Administrative console crashes when using the Secunia SC2012 Plugin on 32-bit machines. Fixed.

  • In addition to the above, a number of minor bug fixes and enhancements have been completed.

Version 1.5.0.2017 (Maintenance release, 2nd May 2013)

The primary changes are:

  • Scan folder: You can use the Scan folder to configure the Secunia SC2012 Plugin, scan devices and view hosts connected to the upstream System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.
  • Schedule folder: You can use the Schedule folder to define the schedule for importing System Center 2012 Configuration Manager scan data and to add/remove hosts to be scanned. The schedule is executed by the Secunia Daemon with credentials provided during the installation of the Daemon.
  • Secunia Daemon: The Secunia Daemon is a stand-alone executable that executes the import schedules configured in the Secunia CSI or System Center 2012 Configuration Manager console. It runs as a background service with no user interaction.
  • Device Overview: You can right-click a host and select Device Overview to view the scan result for that particular host. You can also right-click a host in the Devices folder and select Secunia Scan Details to view the scan result for that particular host.
  • Various: In addition to the above, a number of minor bug fixes and enhancements have been completed.
