Typically, your PSI scan results are accessible via the Secunia PSI installed on your PC. However, with the Secunia PSI API, you can now build custom applications so that you can access the same scan results remotely, and from various platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.
By providing access to the scan results via the API, Secunia hopes to take its engagement with the developer community to the next level, and spread the important message of staying updated with easy PC security more widely. Secunia also wishes that this initiative can tap into the creativity of the developer community, and therefore encourages them to develop applications that are useful, innovative, and extensively available.
You can use any programing language of your choice to build custom applications for different platforms. Secunia PSI API's key role in the process is to deliver to you the latest scan results on your PC via XML. Your custom application can then use this XML data, and present it in a format that best suits your needs.
