• Ability to view status without administrative privileges: The Secunia PSI tray-notification icon can be executed by any user,thus enabling notifications and statuses from the Secunia PSI to be seen by users without administrative privileges. This allows you to adhere to the principle of running with least-privileges, while still being alerted to missing critical security updates for your PC.
  
  Actions like installing security patches usually always require administrative privileges, thus if you wish to open the Secunia PSI interface for the full details you will still be prompted for administrative privileges.

This is an update to the Secunia PSI 2.0 Beta (1.9.0.3) released on 1st September 2010.

Most the of the changes in this release are based directly on user feedback and ideas collected during the first 4 weeks of of the Secunia PSI 2.0 Beta. Secunia would like to thank the many thousands of users who have participated in the beta so far and sent in the great feedback.

• Colored tray-icon: The new tray icon changes color depending on the Secunia System Score in your Secunia PSI

  Secure Browsing is without a doubt one of the most important aspects of online security. If your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) or its plugins (Adobe Flash Player, QuickTime, Sun Java, etc.) contain vulnerabilities, then you're exposed to security threats every single time you visit a website.
  
  The Secunia PSI can assist you to ensure that your browsing experience is safe and secure.
