A vulnerability has been discovered in Adobe LiveCycle, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to e.g. the LiveCycle Designer application using loading libraries (e.g. objectassisten_US.dll in version 9 and reportedly ".dll" in version 8) in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to load arbitrary libraries by tricking a user into e.g. opening Adobe LiveCycle Designer Template files (.tds) located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2 version 184.108.40.20691029.1.612548 and reported in version 220.127.116.1144.1.471865. Other versions may also be affected.
